My whole childhood is associated with weaving. My grandmother, whom I occasionally spent much time with, wove to Hemslöjden in Stockholm. My mother rented a loom from “Husmodersföreningen” when it was time to renew the carpet stock.
After an education in music in Stockholm, I trained as a biomedical analyst. Music was not a reliable source of income in the 60's, although there were some opportunities.
During my professional life, I have been working in a lab with joy, but have taken the opportunity to study at an adult evening school and have received additional student grades in weaving, artificial painting and design.
My "woven me” have finally taken over.
Of my four looms, I mainly use two. A smaller, my grandmother’s, made by grandpa, which is perfect for finer textiles. A larger one, which my grandmother's mother woven in, is more robust, here I produce my wooden rugs, striped with a more modern look.
